On January 12, 2023, the Staff Selection Commission administered the SSC GD Exam in its first shift.

The SSC GD test had four sections: English/Hindi; General Intelligence and Reasoning; General Awareness and General Knowledge; and Elementary Mathematics.

The SSC GD exam's difficulty level was easy to moderate, according to student reviews. There were 80 questions in all, and they had to be answered within 60 minutes.

The elementary maths questions were a little difficult and drawn out. Overall, the candidates might easily attempt 14–15 questions from this area.

While questions from Elementary Mathematics were a little more difficult, questions from General Knowledge and General Awareness were rather simple.

The general intelligence component has a moderate difficulty level. The majority of the achievable questions were from the logical reasoning part.

The SSC GD Constable test, held on January 12, 2023, saw a total of 62–66 questions attempted by students.
