Ram Setu Adam's bridge facts

Ram Setu, also known as Adam's Bridge, is a causeway that connects Pamban Island in Tamil Nadu to Mannar Island in Sri Lanka.

The bridge's overall length is roughly 50 kilometres. Adam’s Bridge also separates the Gulf of Mannar from the Palk Strait.The sea around this building is quite shallow, ranging in depth from three to thirty feet.

Several scientific accounts claim that the bridge was totally above sea level until 1480, when it was devastated by a cyclone that devastated the area. It was walkable until the channel deepened.

According to the Ramayana, the bridge was created using stones, and these stones began to float on the lake when Nala and Neel touched them. Some of these stones were dispersed at Rameswaram during the Tsunami and are still floating on the water.

Carbon dating of beaches and oceanography investigations have revealed a time that fits with the chronological period of the Ramayana and is claimed to be 7,000 years old.
