Diwali 2022 Date in India Calendar

Diwali is a five-day festival celebrated in north India that starts with Dhanteras on the thirteenth lunar day of the Krishna paksha of the Indian month of Karthik.

Dhanteras, the first day of the five-day festival of lights, will be observed on October 22 from 07:00 pm to 08:17 pm. On this day, people worship Lord Kubera and Goddess Lakshmi and make new purchases.

On October 23, Naraka Chaturdasi, the second day, often referred to as Choti Diwali, will start at 05:05 and end at 06:27.

Diwali 2022 will be observed on October 24, 2022, according to the Hindu calendar. Lakshmi Ganesh Pujan, also known as Diwali Puja, is the devotion of Lord Ganesh and Goddess Lakshmi on this day.

The Goverdhan pooja in 2022 will be done on October 26 since Surya Grahan falls on October 25. Pooja is not permitted to be performed during the Grahan Time.
