FSSAI Technical Officer Eligibility Criteria – Nationality
- Aspirants must be Indian Citizens.
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Zambia, Malawi, East African countries of Kenya,
- Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam, with intentions to permanently settle in India.
- A person is a citizen of Nepal
- A person is a citizen of Bhutan, or
- A person is a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962, with intentions to permanently settle in India.
- A citizen who is from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January 1962, with intentions to permanently settle in India must produce a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India, to be eligible for this post. In such cases, the aspirants will be allowed to write the examinations but their application will be considered only if they successfully present the necessary eligibility certificate that has been issued by the Government of India.

If an aspirant is not a citizen of India, then they should be either a citizen of Bhutan or Nepal. Otherwise, Tibetan refugees who migrated before 1st January 1962, from Pakistan, Burma, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Vietnam, Malawi, Zambia permanently settled in India.
The aspirants must not be above 30 years of age. Moreover, age relaxation is also applicable for the reserved category.
