The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is an autonomous body that manages the Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV), a system of central government schools in India. It is one of the world’s largest chains of schools, with over 1,200 schools in India and three abroad. KVS is headquartered in New Delhi. How to become a KVS teacher?
To become a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalaya, one must first fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria which include nationality, age, educational qualifications, and teaching experience (if any). The selection process for KVS teachers includes three stages viz., written test, interview, and demo classes. Candidates who qualify in all these rounds will be finally appointed as KVS teachers.

The KVS Teacher Age Limit is 35 years. The maximum age is 50 years. This is the same for both male and female candidates.
A KVS teacher must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their Masters’s degree from a recognised university. They must also have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR.
A minimum of two years of teaching experience is required for a KVS teacher. However, those with more experience will be preferred.
Apart from the age limit and educational qualifications, a KVS teacher must also be proficient in Hindi and English. They should also have good communication and interpersonal skills.
