In Hollywood, California, on March 12, 2023, the Dolby Theatre hosted the 95th Academy Awards ceremony. Bhanu Athaiya For Best Costume Design
For her work on the film Gandhi, she was honoured with an Oscar Award for “Best Costume Design” (1982). In 1953, two of her pieces were displayed in Bombay as part of the Progressive Artists’ Group exhibition. She collaborated with Indian directors such as Guru Dutt, Yash Chopra, B.R.
