SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Date 2022-23: Selection Process

There are various stages that a candidate needs to qualify for to be recruited as SSC CGL. The first thing that one needs to keep in mind is that the examination is conducted in two phases, i.e., Tier 1 and Tier 2. - Tier 1: This phase is a Computer Based Test pr CBT Examination.
- Tier 2: This is also a Computer Based Test but shall comprise three papers, Paper- 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3.
The eligible candidates need to clear each stage to move on to the next round. Failing to pass at any stage shall eliminate the candidate from the competition. Therefore, candidates need to prepare accordingly.
SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Date 2022-23: Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam shall be a Computer Based Test that shall comprise four sections. There shall be a total of 100 questions carrying a maximum of 200 marks. The candidates shall be given 60 minutes to answer each question. No extra time shall be allotted after the completion of the time duration.
This phase shall be of qualifying in nature and the marks scored by candidates in this phase, shall not be counted or included in the next stages. Therefore, candidates have to score just above the cut-off to qualify for the next round,i.e., Tier 2.
The four sections asked in Tier 1 Computer-Based Test are as follows:

- Quantitative Aptitude
- English Comprehension
Each section shall carry 25 marks. There is a negative marking for each wrong answer of 0.5 marks.
