CSIR NET is one of the popular National level exams for candidates seeking positions as professors or lecturers. The NTA selects the candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship or Assistant Professor in various Indian Universities and Colleges through this CSIR NET Exam.

Similarities Between UGC NET And CSIR NET

Frequency of Exam: Exams are usually given twice a year, in June/July and November/December.

Evaluation: Applicants are evaluated in both exams based on their general aptitude knowledge and subject knowledge. In both exams, candidates are evaluated on their overall ability as well as their subject knowledge. 

Scope: Both tests are used to select candidates for assistant professor and JRF positions.
