1) B.R Ambedkar

2) Lokmanya Tilak

History of Mumbai University
Mumbai University is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious universities. It was founded on July 18, 1857. In the same year, Madras and Calcutta Universities were founded. The university was modeled after the University of London. During that time, the University was only an examining body that administered tests to students enrolled in affiliated colleges. Thane campus, Kalina campus, Fort campus, and Ratnagiri campus are the university’s four campuses.
In 1883, this was India’s first university to admit women to all degrees. Sir George Gilbert Scott designed the university library at the same time as the Rajabai Clock Tower. It is now a part of Mumbai’s Victorian complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
