Liz Truss to Become UK's New Prime Minister

On September 6, 2022, Elizabeth Truss was appointed Prime Minister.

Truss is the 15th Prime Minister to serve during Queen Elizabeth II's reign.

She previously served as Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs until September 15, 2021.

On September 10, 2019, she was appointed Minister for Women and Equalities.

In 2010, she was elected as the Conservative MP for South West Norfolk.
