The Indian Navy is the naval division of the Indian Army. The President is the Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Navy. The Navy is led by the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), who is normally a four-star admiral. Every year, the MR Recruitment Indian Navy procedure is held to induct civilians into the Navy as sailors. Indian Navy MR Selection Process 2023
The Indian Navy MR Selection Process 2023 will conduct in three stages.
Stage – I (Inet – Computer Based Online Examination)
Stage – II (Written Examination, Pft And Initial Medical)
Stage – III (Final Medical Examination)
Stage – I (Inet – Computer Based Online Examination)
All India computer-based examination- INET would be conducted for Shortlisting of candidates. Shortlisting would be based on marks obtained in the Indian Navy Entrance Test. Shortlisting will be carried out in state wise manner. The cut-off marks for shortlisting for the next stage of the selection process may vary from state to state.
The exam will be computer-based, with a total of 50 questions worth one mark each. The question paper will be divided into two sections: “Science & Mathematics” and “General Awareness.” The examination time is 30 minutes. Candidates must pass all parts as well as the overall exam. The Indian Navy maintains the authority to set the pass marks in each Section as well as the overall pass grade.
Stage – II (Written Examination, Pft And Initial Medical)
Candidates who pass the INET (computer-based online test) will be sent a call-up letter for Stage II (written examination, PFT & Initial Medical). Stage II will be placed at approved Indian Navy centres.
Physical Standards
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) qualification is required for selection. Candidates that take the PFT do so at their own risk. The following is the PFT standard:

Initial Medical Examination
Candidates who pass the PFT will have an initial medical examination. Candidates who pass the initial medical examination will be termed “provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination.” The final recruitment medical examination for all selected candidates will take performed at INS Chilka. Candidates who are judged medically unfit in the initial medical will be recommended to appeal their results at a designated military hospital (assigned by the Indian Navy) within a maximum of 21 days. There is no room for further review or appeal.
Merit List
The merit list will be compiled based on performance in the Stage II written test, subject to qualifying in the Physical Fitness Test and the Initial Medical Examination. Agniveer (MR) Merit List – Male and Female will be based on all India merit. By April 23, the merit list will be published on the website joinindiannavy.gov.in.
Stage – III (Final Medical Examination)
All shortlisted applicants will undergo a final recruitment medical examination at INS Chilka. Candidates who pass the Final Recruitment Medical Examination and are judged to be medically fit will be hired. Candidates who are declared medically unfit will be instructed to appeal their results at INHS Nivarini/ INHS Kalyani within a maximum of 21 days. No further review or appeal is permitted.
Medical Standards
Medical examinations will be performed by authorized military doctors in accordance with the medical standards outlined in the current rules in effect at the time of entrance.
Gender
Any candidate who is found to exhibit dominating traits of the opposite gender as demonstrated by an external physical test will be disqualified as UNFIT. Any candidate who has had gender reassignment surgery will be considered UNFIT.
Pregnancy
If a female candidate is discovered to be pregnant, she will be disqualified and her candidacy would be rejected. A applicant should not have been pregnant at the time of reporting or throughout the four-year term. If a pregnant woman is discovered later within the four-year training or engagement period, appropriate dismissal/removal action will be conducted.
Minimum Height Standards
Males must be at least 157 cm tall, while females must be at least 152 cm tall.
Tattoos
Permanent body tattoos are only authorized on the inside face of the forearms, that is, from the inside of the elbow to the wrist, as well as on the reversed side of the palm/back (dorsal) side of the hand. Permanent body tattoos on any other portion of the body are not permitted, and candidates will be denied employment.
The applicant must be in good physical and mental health, free of any sickness or handicap that would interfere with the efficient execution of responsibilities both onshore and afloat in both peace and wartime situations.
