Ministry of Jal Shakti Recruitment 2022 – Eligibility Criteria 

According to the recruitment rules, the position of personal assistant is filled in the following ways through deputation (including short-term contracts).

  • By Deputation (including short-term contract)

Officer working for the Central Government, a State Government, a UT, a PSU, an autonomous semi-government, a statutory organisation, etc.

  • A graduate from an accredited university or an equivalent with an  a speed of 80 words per minute in short hand.
  • Holding an analogous regular position OR holding a regular position in the pay range of Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 2800 (or the equivalent pay level-5 of the 7th CPC) with six years of regular service in the grade OR holding a regular position in the pay range of Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 2400 (or the equivalent pay level-4 of the 7th CPC) with ten years of regular service in the grade.
  • The applicant with strong computer skills will be given preference.

[Note: Normally, a deputation or contract period cannot exceed three years, or until the end of the KWDT, or until further orders, whichever comes first. It may include a deputation or contract in another ex-cadre post held immediately prior to this appointment in the same organisation or Department of the Central Government. The maximum age for deputation appointments, including short-term contracts, is 56 years old.]

  •  By Re-employment

Officers retired from the Central Government, State Government, UT, PSUs, Autonomous /Semi-Govt., Statutory Organizations, etc. must have the following qualifications:

  • A graduate from a recognised university or equivalent with a speed of 80 words per minute wpm in short hand.
  • Having held an analogous post on a regular basis OR having held a post in the Pay scale Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 2800 (or equivalent to pay level-5 of 7th CPC) with six years regular service in the grade OR having held in the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200+ GP 2400 (or equivalent pay level-4 of 7th CPC) with 10 years regular service in the grade. 
  • A preference will be given to those who are proficient with computers.
  • Assuming the former government official After turning 65 years old, the Personal Assistant (PA) appointed shall no longer hold the position. The term of the incumbent may then, if necessary, be extended for a further period of up to six months on the same terms and conditions.

Age Limit

  • For the position of knowledgeable member, the applicant’s age limit has been set at 58 years old, and it has been set at 65 years old for all other positions.
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC candidates may receive age allowances per government regulations.
  • OBC: 3 years, SC/ST: 5 years.
