Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin launched the Moovalur Ramamirtham Ammaiyar Higher Education Assurance titled Pudumai Pen at an event in Chennai attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Mr Kejriwal also unveiled his 26 excellent schools and his 15 model schools established by the Tamil Nadu government, emulating the model of his AAP government in Delhi. Objectives of the Pudhumai Penn scheme for Girl Students of Tamil Nadu 

• Under the Latest Tamilnadu Scheme, female students from Grade V to Grade XII at public schools in the state will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 1,000 until graduation.
• This plan aims to benefit six thousand girls every year and Rs 698 crore has been allocated in the budget for implementation.

• Mr Kejriwal called ‘Pudhumai Penn’ a ‘revolutionary plan’ that is ‘to prove revolutionary and revolutionary in the coming time’. • Calling all governments to unite on this issue, Mr Kejriwal said: “If we all come together, the way Stalin started this in Tamil Nadu, we start in Delhi, I think if all the State governments work together if the central government works together, I’m sure that within five years, we can have all the public schools in the country. • The classrooms of these excellent schools will be modernized and art, literature, music, dance, sports, and other sports will be promoted among students, he said. “Over the next four years, a classroom will be installed in every school in Tamil Nadu and converted into a ‘Smart Classroom’ for 150 crores.” Mr Stalin also advised students not to stop at just one degree.
