Tamilnadu Road Inspector Eligibility Criteria 2023
Aspiring candidates for the post of Road Inspector in Tamilnadu must fulfill the following eligibility criteria in order to apply for the 2023 recruitment drive:
Tamilnadu Road Inspector Age Limit
- SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BC(OBCM)s, BCMs and Destitute widows of all categories – No maximum Age limit.
- Other Category Not Belonging to (SC, SC (A), ST, MBC/DC, BC (OBCM), and BCM) – 37 Years.
Age Relaxation
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Others):
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities are entitled for an age concession of up to 10 years over the statutory upper age limit. Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016, Section 64.
Ex-servicemen for (Others)
- Former service members are only allowed to be 50 years old. (According to G.O. (Ms) No. 91, Human Resources Management (S) Department, dated September 13, 2021 and Section 63 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016)

Tamilnadu Road Inspector Qualification
To be eligible for the role of Road Inspector in Tamil Nadu, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- The ITI Certificate in Civil Draughtsmenship from a government-recognized board or institute is a requirement for applicants.
- According to Section 25 of the Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service Act, 2016), the required qualifications for this position should have been completed in the following order of studies: 10th + ITI (10+2), 10th + Diploma (10+3), 10th + Diploma + Bachelor’s Degree Course (10+3+3), 10th + HSC + Diploma (10+2+2), or 10th + HSC + Bachelor’s Degree Course (10+2+4).
- Candidates should have strong Tamil communication skills.
Tamilnadu Road Inspector Physical Fitness
Candidates who are chosen for the position will need to present a certificate of physical fitness in the format outlined below. The notification’s Annexure-III has a model format. The chosen candidate must present the aforementioned Certificate to the hiring authority while starting work on the specified position.
