It was mandatorily formed as per the requirement of Section 3 of the Advocates Act, 1961. As per this section, every state must have a bar council that will discharge the following functions.
- Act as a statutory body, regulating the legal profession and education across Rajasthan.
- Facilitating the election so members can get elected to the Bar Council.
- Sending the names of elected members to the Bar Council of India for formal approval as members.
- Forming a managing committee like Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Treasurer of the Bar.
- Designing the professional behaviors and code to be followed by the member advocates.
- Laying down the guidelines for disciplinary committees and other committees formed by it.
- Arranging for financial aid in case of need.
- Protecting the member advocates rights, benefits, and interests.
- Designing, Promoting, and supporting law reform as per changing circumstances.
- Resolving disputes between member advocates within a timeframe.

- Graduates with a law degree from recognized universities are admitted as advocates in The Bar Council of Rajasthan. However, they should be permitted to impart legal education.
- The enrollment is done online for the Bar Council of Rajasthan.
- The Bar Council Of Rajasthan is empowered by the Advocates Act of 1961 to frame rules for enrolling advocates in the council. These rules can be framed according to their convenience.

Step 2: Click on the three lines on the top-right corner of the page.
Step 3: Select the option of Enrollment from there.
Step 4: Select the sub-option of Enrolled Advocate from there.
Step 5: Check the Enrollment Date on the next page and click on Go.
Step 6: The list will appear in front of you.
