- Officials of the central or state or union territory government or public sector enterprises or accredited universities or research institutes or semi-governmental or self-governing bodies or organizations statutory office can only apply for the post of Handcrafts Promotion Officer.
- Bachelor’s degree in design or fine arts. (OR) 03 years old Fine Arts graduate with 02 years of related experience for the post of Handcrafts Promotion Officer.

Young Professionals will be required to accompany the department’s work in integrating sustainability and rotation in the textile value chain in India, through analytical, technical, and coordination activities consisting of the following.
- Research on sustainability context
- Circular initiatives in the Indian textile value chain, and analyze vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve environmental and social sustainability in the area
- Mapping of all relevant stakeholders and dialogue with stakeholders to understand
- Prioritize adoption and challenge sustainable approaches / circular economy and innovative solutions to meet these points
- Develop instructional notes as needed and stakeholder engagement affected by
- political dialogue
- Carry out activities related to communication, awareness raising, and capacity building, where appropriate, to increase the reach and impact of the work done of the Ministry of Textiles and to integrate sustainability and circular economy approach
